It seems like just yesterday we were taking down the Christmas decorations and celebrating Daniel's 4th birthday. Spring is here....well, sorta! In Cleveland, you never know if it is going to rain or snow in April!
Here are some thoughts for things to do in April:
1) IX Indoor Amusement Park: Has anyone out there tried this with little ones? I hear that they have a lot of rides, play areas, etc. for preschoolers. Discounts available at Marc's or through NEOEA (teachers).
2) Kiddie Park opens this month on April 22nd. This is one of our favorite spots in Cleveland, especially when paired with dinner at Cracker Barrel (on Tiedman) or ice cream at Honey Hut (either location on State Road). Yum!
3) I have heard of a few Easter Bunny activities, one is the Easter Egg Hunt in Greenbriar Commons (Parma Heights) on Saturday, April 16th. Both Parmatown and Westfield Southpark Easter Bunnies have arrived and Southpark has a really cute train to ride too. I think the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has an Easter Bunny Breakfast too, but it is pricey.
4) Michael's Craft Store has a cute Easter Candy Making Kit for $9.99. Daniel, my mom, and I made chocolate suckers and they were cute and delicious.
5) The Resurrection Eggs (purchase at any Christian book store) is a great reminder of what the true meaning of this season is all about. The eggs come with little items inside that tell the Easter story. Great for even the little ones!
I hope that you and your family have a wonderful April, celebrating Spring and the Resurrection of our Savior.
